Directionally Challenged

Well I got my fingerprints done today! Yay! But the process of getting them done was much more than I had anticipated. Let's just say that I am really good at making things ten times harder than they need to be.

My morning started out early but pleasantly. I opened at the gym so I was up at 3:45am and at work by 4:30am. After work I immediately came home and collapsed for about an hour and a half. So far so good.

I woke up with about an hour to spare until my fingerprinting appointment. Great, this place was only supposed to be 15-20 minutes away. I go to pull up my pass on the computer and someone **cough cough** sean **cough cough** had x'd out the page. Frustrating. So I print out the papers I think I need and I head out the door with my google maps in hand. This is what my path should have looked like.
Simple enough right? Wrong... I have discovered I am directionally challenged. A drive that should have taken 15 minutes took 40 minutes. This is more what my path looked like.
But because I left early I arrived right on time! Yes. But then the lady informed me I failed to print out the correct form... Bummer. I was so frustrated at this point I was near tears but the lady promised that if I could make it back by 4:30 she'd get it done today. I made my way home. Printed out the other form and made the drive back out to no where's ville. More successfully the second time I might add!

By 3:30pm, after an hour and a half and two trips, I became officially finger printed in the state of Texas. Two to three days until I am cleared to go!

I think I may be getting one of those garmin things for christmas after what I put my mom through today...
